THE COSMIC FEMININE COLLAGE SERIES
weaves together mythic images, astro-photography of the cosmos and flower photographs. Stars and flowers are the beautiful blossoms of heaven and Earth.

Silently, one by one,

The creation of these images was an interesting process. Combining the three main elements-- mythic images of god/desses, flowers and stars--helped me to focus and feel the vital life within the archetypes. Color was a key element for cohesion in each work. Many choices of images were color-inspired. Some collages would remain in pieces on my work table for months, awaiting inspiration or the right image to continue. This creative work was a necessary adjunct activity to writing, activating the visual, imaginative side of my brain in a more whole way. A key aspect of the cosmic feminine is the irrational, beyond the mind. Working with images rather than words brought me closer to Her. Still, even images are yet too defined. The Process--the intuitive, organic experience--is closer to the essence of this spacious archetype.
